Physicians in Canada Slow to Adopt Ki-67 Testing for Breast Cancer
Physicians in Canada were surveyed about using Ki-67 testing to guide breast cancer treatment decisions. Most have access to Ki-67 testing but few use it to assess response to hormone therapy due to logistical and resource challenges. The main reasons for using Ki-67 were for deciding on Abemaciclib treatment and chemotherapy. Physicians are interested in participating in future trials using Ki-67 testing to assess treatment decisions and cost analysis.
