Extended breastfeeding reduces risk of type 1 diabetes in Pakistani children.
The study looked at how breastfeeding and introducing cereal early in children in Pakistan can affect the development of type 1 diabetes. They found that children who were breastfed for longer had a lower risk of diabetes, while those introduced to cereal early had a higher risk. Breastfeeding for at least six months can significantly reduce the chances of developing type 1 diabetes in children.
