Empowering Women Leads to Healthier Child Feeding Practices in Rural Ethiopia
Improving how spouses make decisions together can help children eat better. A study in rural South Ethiopia looked at how couples decide on child feeding. They talked to over 1,400 women with young kids and found that most decisions were made together. Women with education, husbands who help with feeding, and fewer children were more likely to make decisions together. But big families, age gaps between spouses, and gender differences made it harder for women to be involved in decisions.
