Dirty hands and crowded homes increase risk of child illness
Childhood morbidity in Gondar City, Ethiopia was studied to see how often kids under five have both diarrhea and respiratory infection symptoms at the same time. The researchers talked to 836 families and found that 17.22% of children had both issues. Factors like young mothers, big families, dirty play areas, late introduction of solid foods, and not washing hands properly were linked to this double trouble. Educating caregivers about hygiene and feeding practices can help prevent these health problems in kids.
