Misoprostol Outperforms Prostaglandin E2 in Inducing Labor Successfully
The study compared the effectiveness of misoprostol and prostaglandin E2 in inducing labor in pregnant women. Misoprostol had a higher success rate (97.4%) compared to prostaglandin E2 (90.4%). Factors like age, parity, BMI, gestational age, and residence did not affect the results. Misoprostol was found to be more effective, cheaper, easier to store, and had a higher success rate, making it a better option for inducing labor, especially in low-resource settings.
