Breast Crawling Boosts Exclusive Breastfeeding Rates and Reduces Maternal Anxiety
Breast crawling right after birth helps babies breastfeed better and reduces anxiety in moms. A study compared babies who did breast crawl with those who had regular skin-to-skin contact. Babies who breast crawled breastfed more exclusively at 24 hours, day 3, month 1, and month 6. They also had better first breastfeeding success, quicker milk production, and stable body temperature. Moms were less anxious and had better attitudes towards breastfeeding with breast crawling. Breast crawling is good for babies and moms.
